This viewpoint is integrated into an area dedicated to the history and tradition of the town. The dragon tree, part of a major legend of the area, is linked to the constellation Draco, the dragon. The cross is part of the sky, reflected in the constellation Cygnus. It has a signpost pointing to Polaris, and a wheelplanisphere which helps locate the circumpolar constellations: the Dipper and Cassiopeia.
